What does a property under 100K in the OC look like?

In my last posting I had written about a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath property in Santa Ana under 100K.  Here are some pics to satisfy your imagination!  Not bad actually.  What do you think?

Also, after having a critique of my blog from my husband, I've decided to change the format of the blog to alternate the giving back posts with the real estate posts to make the posts flow a little bit better.

If you have any charitable causes or volunteer opportunities you'd like to highlight, please let me know and I'll give it a spotlight here on my blog!  Also, if you're interested in a particular property you'd like more info about, I can highlight that one as well.

Thanks for reading!

Can I find a property under $100K in Orange County? Absolutely.

One of my things to do today, other than start this fantabulous blog- mashing up real estate and giving back, was to answer the question of  "Can you find investment property in Orange County under $100K?"  "Yes you can!" I reply!  I found quite a few of them.  158 to be exact!  But, after weeding out all the 55+ senior communities, short sales, and mobile homes- which might actually work for cash flow purposes- but in this instance was not desired, I had 7 properties to share.  Most of them were foreclosures. There was 1 flip/rehabbed home and all were in the Santa Ana area, ranging in size from studios to 2 bedrooms.

My pick of the list was a 1 bed, 1.5 bath in Santa Ana off 3rd.  The seller added some new flooring, paint and granite... not bad for under 100K.  I'll be seeing it this week and will post pics on the next post.

If you're interested in learning about investment opportunities in Orange County or South LA County, feel free to comment or email me at myocrealtor@gmail.com.

When I decided to do this blog discussing real estate, I also wanted to find a way to give back and find ways to help others in the community.  Then I thought that there might be others in my position wanting to do the same.  Why not share what I find?  Today's volunteer opportunity is with the Illumination Foundation.

Agency: Illumination Foundation - http://www.ifhomeless.org/

Description: This opportunity includes overseeing the children in our program, while their parents attend classes. The number of children present can be anywhere from 10 to 20 children, ranging in age from 0 -18. We will assign one volunteer to every 1 or 2 children. We play games with the children, practice crafts, draw, put on plays or performances, watch movies, play outside, etc. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas to occupy the children’s time.

*Every Monday Evening at 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.*

Maybe this opportunity will be a good match for you to give back!
